life is filled with challenges and some seem harder than others.  however, we all know that one thing that makes challenges bearable is knowing that we are not alone.  anyone who attended the susan g. komen race for the cure in salt lake city struggling with breast cancer, would know that they are not alone.  sometimes challenges are the very essence of what brings us together.

is there anything better than shooting family in 80 degree weather?  it was so awesome to photograph my cousin and her growing family.  her children are beautiful, and it was fun to see how close they are as a family- i think that is the word that i would choose to describe the essence of the ricks family, close.

shooting this senior dance was a blast.  there is nothing more enjoyable to see good, wholesome kids having good, wholesome fun.  these moments create the essence of lasting memories.
